The Rock and Root Hikers meet on Sunday afternoons in the fall and spring to explore trails in the Capital District, weather permitting. Our ages are welcome! Contact Mtr. Christina at (518) 423-4891 with questions.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, the Rock and Root Hikers will explore Indian Kill Nature Preserve in Glenville. We’ll meet in the parking lot at 1:30 to begin our hike. (Note: the trail is about a 40 minute drive from St. Peter’s). This hike is part of the “Seven Preserve Challenge” that our hiking club is beginning in 2025 and concluding in 2027. Hikers who visit all seven area preserves earn a special hiking patch.
Directions: Travel north on Rte 50 to Glenridge Road. Turn right on Glenridge Road and go 1.3 miles to traffic signal at Maple Ave. Turn left and go 0.4 miles to parking lot on left at junction of Maple Avenue and Hetcheltown Road.
