Mtr. Christina Hunter became the 24th Rector of St. Peter's Church in April 2024 after serving for a time as priest-in-charge.
She previously served in priestly ministry as the co-founder of Oaks of Righteousness, a church mission in Troy, NY, and as an interim priest at St. John’s Church in Troy.
Mtr. Christina earned her Master of Divinity degree from Trinity School for Ministry in 2010 and was ordained in the same year. Before going to seminary, she worked as a newspaper reporter, covering crime, education and general assignment stories in California, Texas, and Oklahoma. She grew up among the hills of Appalachian Ohio.
Mtr. Christina is married to Fr. Paul Hunter, and they have two school aged children. In her free time, Mtr. Christina enjoys writing, hiking, playing ukulele, and having coffee with friends.

Pianist, guitarist, organist, vocalist, and composer Malcolm Moran has been performing and teaching in the Capital Region since 2015 . A native of Schenectady, Mr. Moran earned an Associates Degree in Music Performance as a guitarist from SUNY Schenectady, a B.A in Music as a pianist from the College of Saint Rose, and a M.M in Music performance from Kent State University.
A highly sought out accompanist, Mr. Moran has performed at many venues and events in the area. Additionally, he has performed extensively as a recitalist in the area. In 2021 Mr Moran was the winner of the annual organ scholarship from the Eastern New York chapter of the American Guild of Organist when he studied organ with Neil Keen F.A.G.O. Mr Moran has been singing as a member of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church Choir in Albany since 1997.

Laura Saffares has led our children in their walk of faith for many years through Bible stories, crafts, and seasonal activities like prayer pretzel making, pumpkin bread baking, Last Supper re-enactment and egg coloring/hunt.

Ruth Manss is our office manager, running day to day operations at our downtown location and returning phone and email correspondence. Some of Ruth's other duties include editing and publishing our monthly newsletter.
Janice Chenot has served St. Peter's faithfully over the years in many roles, including her work as office volunteer. We're very grateful for her generosity in sharing her time and considerable skills in finance, graphic design, and administration with our parish.
Pat Shortall has served as the sexton of St. Peter's Church since 1986. Pat serves a complex role at the church, balancing cleaning duties, light repairs, maintenance, liturgical upkeep and preparation of the worship space, building access, shopping for supplies, and more.
